PBIS acknowlege

How do we acknowledge proper behavior?

Our teachers work diligently to notice and name proper behavior at school.  Many times this is done with a verbal or nonverbal acknowledgement within the classroom.  At times teacher or other school staff will acknowledge proper behavior with one of the tangible PBIS tools.

Tracks to Respect – given for whole-class behavior either in the classroom or other parts of the school campus

ROAR Slips – given to individual students for ROAR behaviors

Major ROAR Award – given to individual students for ROAR behaviors that are extraordinary

Positive Buddy Reward – given to students who have achieved a classroom goal so they can be rewarded and congratulated by an older peer

ROAR Student of the Month – given to students who are chosen by their teacher or classmates as exhibiting ROAR behaviors for the month

Terrific Kids Award – Teachers of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders are nominated for this award for leadership qualities that they display at school.  It is sponsored by the Kiwanis.  They provide a breakfast for the students and their teacher at Fox Hallow, a certificate and inscribed school plaque for the students who are awarded this.
